I like this move for the Kings. Hickson is a good young player. He will be part of a good core with Cousins and Evans. Casspi is alright, but nothing great, the Cavs will also get a 1st round pick.

3-way deal with the Kings, Bobcats and Bucks: Bucks get Beno Udrih, Stephen Jackson and the 19th pick. Charlotte gets the 7th pick and Corey Maggette. Kings get the 10th pick and John Salmons.

What a fantastic season. For me, this photo is how I will remember it the most. I had season tickets for the Bulls this year and watching DRose and Thibs defensive minded Bulls perform at such a high level all year from way up in section 323 was a pleasure beyond what I ever could have imagined (outside of winning a title of course).

We’ve had a season with all of the following: drama surrounding the Heat, the Lakers trying to extend the dynasty and Kobe’s legacy, the Carmelo trade drama, OKC taking another step, Boston’s somewhat shocking Kendrick trade, Blake Griffin busting the damn door down, DWilliams getting traded to the ‘Brooklyn’ Nets, the Cavs dropping from the face of the earth for a while, Dwight Howard putting up ridiculous numbers on a Magic squad lacking everywhere else, San Antonio giving it one last push, the Kings leaving Sactown then not leaving Sactown, Kevin Love’s double double streak, Doug Collins turning things around in Philly, the Nuggets playing some inspiring ball after the Melo trade, the player revolt in Detroit, the end of Yao?, Take Dat Wit Chew, point guards dominating the league, Coach Thibs and surprising MVP (and what a great debate that was) DRose surprisingly leading the Bulls to the league’s best record…and that was just the regular season.

In the playoffs we saw the emergence of Zach Randolph and the Memphis Grizzlies, Chris Paul proving that yes he can still be Chris Paul knees or not, the end of an era in San Antonio?, the Celtics destruction of the Melo/Amare Knicks in their first playoff go round, Dwight Howard’s one man gang against the Hawks, a physical Pacers-Bulls series, a fantastic seven game OKC-Memphis series including an epic game 4, the out of nowhere sweep of the Lakers by the everyone is sleeping on Dallas Mavs, LeBron’s late game heroics and Rondo’s heroic play in the Heat’s take down of Boston, the Bulls toughing out a series win over a ‘giving a shit’ Hawks team for once, Derrick’s MVP speech (I love you mom!), the Bulls huge take down of the Heat in game 1 followed by LeBron’s dominance at the end of games and crazy game 5 clincher in Chicago, Dallas teaching the new dog old tricks in it’s defeat of Durant and the Thunder, a game 1 Heat win followed by a remarkable series saving comeback by Dallas at the end of game 2, Shaq calling it quits, Chris Bosh hitting a jumper at the end of game 3 followed by Dirk’s miss to put the Heat back in the drivers seat, LeBron’s complete vanishing act in game 4 as Dirk fought through the flu to even the series, Dallas finding the three point stroke to hold off Wade and the Heat despite LeBron’s empty triple double, a game 6 with multiple runs including a skirmish followed by the Mavs taking control in the third and making enough plays in the fourth to win the title in Miami…..Dirk heading to the tunnel overwhelmed with emotion, Chris Bosh crying in the tunnel (I’m actually not burning him here, I thought he played well and the Heat should have used him more at the end of game 6), Cuban finally letting lose, LeBron headed for an offseason of questions, Dirk vindicated.

Now, we sit and wait. Hoping the NBA owners and players find a way to avoid a lock out. Regardless of what happens this season has to be one of the best ones in recent memory. What did I leave out? What was your favorite memory of the 2010-11 season?

Prepare for a long summer of posts about a possible lockout. Last offseason we were spoiled with LeBron, big free agents, and the emergence of Kevin Durant as a superstar during the FIBA World Championships. This summer will be lame, especially if it is extended. Expect more pictures of David Stern and NBPA chief negotiator Billy Hunter than ever.
